Crisis center may sue domestic violence nonprofit

SCRANTON, Penn. — A federal court in Pennsylvania allowed a domestic violence service provider, Crisis Center North, to proceed with its claim against the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence claiming that the latter nonprofit retaliated against the service provider for contacting state officials by blocking it from applying for grant funding. The service provider sufficiently alleged the coalition acted on the state6s behalf when administering the grants.
