FIC Newsroom Newsroom To help keep South African business and individuals informed and updated on money laundering and terrorist financing, the FIC publishes and makes available various materials. To use and/or derive value from their proceeds, they can use the financial system to launder their ill-gotten gains. The various methods they use via existing financial and non-financial institutions are published in the FIC’s case studies. These publications are aimed at raising awareness among business and individuals to help identify typical methods criminal use for abusing the financial system.
