Toronto Police Service Recognizes FINTRAC Financial Intelligence in Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation

FINTRAC’s financial intelligence was recognized by the Toronto Police Service in a child sexual abuse and exploitation investigation that began in April 2025. As a result of this investigation, one individual has been arrested and charged with numerous child exploitation offences under the Criminal Code. With the financial transaction reports received from Canadian businesses across the country, FINTRAC is providing valuable assistance to law enforcement and national security investigations.
